Environmental responsibility

As a provider of services, our impact on the environment is relatively minor compared to other industries.  The main source of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution in our business is the consumption of electricity and paper. 

We have adopted the following policies in order to minimize our impact on the environment:

• We only use environmentally friendly white paper (made from 100% bamboo) and/or 100% post consumer waste recycled paper for all printed documents including letters and court documents.

• All our envelopes and notepads are made from 100% recycled paper.  

• Where possible, we use stationery and office supplies that are recycled and/or environmentally friendly (such as pens made from recycled plastic bottles, recycled manila folders and remanufactured toner cartridges).

• We do not use any paper products (including envelopes, notepads, etc) which are or may be sourced from Australian native forests or illegal logging.

• Our electrical appliances are energy efficient and are switched off when not in use.

• If a secure email address is provided to us, we will conduct most of our routine correspondence via email as an alternative to printed post.

• We recycle all discarded paper, print cartridges, cardboard and plastic items.

• We conserve electricity by sharing our kitchen and boardroom facilities with another firm.
